Ed Gorman has been writing full-time since 1984 after a career in advertising. Prolific in the mystery, dark suspense and western fields, he had written more than a hundred stories and many novels, including Stranglehold, due from St. Martin’s this fall. His short fiction, distinctive for its emotional depth, has been reprinted in numerous anthologies, including The Shamus Winners (2010).
